MTM Technologies Unveils Aware360 Powered by Citrix?

  • With a new proactive suite of support services, MTM Technologies now offers the industry’s most complete, “always there” managed service for both applications and networks.
  • Coilplus Holdings renews managed services contract, adding new Aware360 Powered by Citrix® service

STAMFORD, CT – November 19, 2007 – MTM Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MTMC), a leading national provider of innovative IT solutions and services to Global 2000 and mid-size companies, today announced it has released Aware360 Powered by Citrix, a proactive suite of support services specifically designed to enhance the Citrix environment.

“MTM Technologies is a very important and innovative partner for Citrix.  It is no surprise that they are one of the first Citrix Platinum Solutions Advisors to develop an end-to-end applications and network solution specifically designed for the Citrix environment,” said Fernando Campo, VP, Americas at Citrix Systems, Inc.  “Aware360 Powered by Citrix is an exciting new suite of support services designed to address the unique needs of any size organization, from small businesses to larger enterprises: fully customizable, scalable and backed by a world class Support Center and highly trained and experienced Citrix Certified engineers.”

Initially unveiled in a “sneak preview” at Citrix iForum 07 in Las Vegas on October 22, Aware360 Powered by Citrix is built on the successful MTM Technologies Aware360 platform, a complete lifecycle of support and network monitoring solutions designed to optimize systems availability and to improve reliability, strengthen security, and reduce costs. MTM Technologies has implemented the Aware360 solution in over 100 organizations throughout the United States.

“Aware360 Powered by Citrix delivers an end-to-end view of every application and every process throughout an enterprise, enabling us to provide our customers with the insight, data, and direction to help them to intelligently solve performance challenges and better ensure that all IT resources are operating at peak efficiency across the organizations’ complete IT environment,” said Steven Stringer, President and COO at MTM Technologies. “By measuring performance across the entire enterprise, we’re able to analyze historical performance trends and identify potential problems before they ever have a chance to impede business operations.”

Coilplus Holdings, a leader in flat rolled steel processing, is one of MTM Technologies’ customers taking advantage of this offering by recently renewing a three-year managed services contract which now includes Aware360 Powered by Citrix. Headquartered in Rosemont, Illinois, Coilplus Holdings is part of the global network of Mitsubishi International and Metal One, with 10 remote manufacturing locations, two fully replicated datacenters and 220 Citrix users located throughout North America.

“Thanks to MTM’s excellent support we are able to manage this network with a total IT staff of four. They monitor our network 24 X 7 X 365 and when something breaks, they fix it,” said Steve Croy, Director of IT at Coilplus Holdings. “This has allowed our IT staff to focus on servicing business needs rather than addressing infrastructure issues. Not only does MTM do an excellent job of supporting the infrastructure of our network, they do it at a very reasonable cost. It would be cost-prohibitive for us to employ all of the technologies we are currently using if we had to support them in-house. Most importantly, our partnership with MTM doesn’t feel like an outsourced support agreement. We work with technical support engineers who know us, know our network, and know our business. We consider them an extension of our IT department.”

Aware360 Powered by Citrix provides visibility before, during and after applications are integrated into an IT environment, making it easier to identify, prioritize and address application performance problems to ensure peak operation of any application while delivering the best possible experience to end users. Driven by considerable market demand, Aware360 Powered by Citrix makes it easy for organizations to cost-effectively access MTM Technologies’ remote support team of technical experts to resolve multivendor hardware and software challenges—including off-the-shelf solutions that often make it impossible to determine the root-cause of application or network performance issues.

For example, when the MTM Technologies Network Operations Centers and the Citrix Support Center are alerted to excessive network latency in a client’s user community, support services can take immediate steps to drill down to determine the exact cause of the problem and make recommendations for remediation. This and many additional services and processes ensure that organizations maintain the best in class end user computing environment everyday.
